Quick answer

Across the 12 swap pairs in our catalog with a verified price on both sides, the median subscription costs $12/month and switching to the recommended alternative saves a median of $132/year - some swaps save far less (a few dollars a year), others (enterprise tools priced per seat or per CPU) save thousands. Add two or three real swaps from your own stack and the savings add up fast.

Our full App Swap catalog covers 620 potential swap pairs across 82 apps people commonly pay for; 153 of those pairs are indexed and searchable, 70 have at least the alternative's price confirmed, and 12 have fully verified pricing on both sides so far - we're pricing more every week. Use the calculator below to check your own stack; every price is editable.

    FAQ

    How are the savings calculated?

For each swap you add, we take the price you enter for your current app and subtract the alternative's price, then multiply by 12. Only pairs with a verified price on both sides show a dollar figure - right now that's 12 pairs in the catalog. For alternatives that are free or open-source, the savings equal 100% of what you're currently paying. We never invent a number for a pair we haven't priced.

    Are the alternatives really equivalent?

Not always, and we won't pretend otherwise. Alternatives can differ in features, polish, support, integrations, or how much setup they need - some are a straight swap, others trade a bit of convenience for a lower bill or better privacy. Check the linked swap page for each pair before you cancel anything.

    Where do prices come from?

From official vendor pricing pages, collected and spot-checked by the PixlRun team. Prices change, so every field in the calculator is editable - correct it to match your actual plan or region and the savings update instantly.

    Can I suggest a swap?

Yes. Our App Swap catalog already covers 620 pairs and we're adding verified pricing to more of them regularly. If your app isn't listed yet, check the full catalog - it may already be there without a price attached.

Why don't all swaps show a dollar amount?

Because pricing every one of 620 pairs on both sides takes time, and we'd rather show nothing than guess. Right now 70 pairs have at least the alternative's price confirmed, and 12 have verified pricing on both sides. The rest still show the swap itself so you can research it manually.
