It’s been two years since the last Apple Watch Ultra was released, and tech enthusiasts are speculating that Apple is preparing to unveil the third-generation model later this year.
According to insider Jukan Choi, who shared Apple’s product roadmap on X, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 may be released alongside the Apple Watch Series 11 and the new HomePod 6. The most likely launch window is September 2025 — in line with Apple’s traditional fall event — when the iPhone 17 series is also expected to be introduced.
One of the most exciting rumored features is satellite messaging, which would allow users to stay connected even in remote areas without cellular coverage. This would make the Apple Watch Ultra 3 especially appealing to hikers, travelers, and adventurers. Apple currently offers satellite support for free to iPhone users, and the same is expected for the watch.
The device might also support 5G connectivity, thanks to MediaTek modem integration, improving speed and responsiveness for connected apps.
Health-wise, Apple could introduce a blood pressure monitoring feature that alerts users to early signs of hypertension, adding to its growing suite of wellness-focused capabilities.
While official details remain under wraps, leaks suggest that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will be more than just a rugged redesign — it will bring meaningful improvements in connectivity and health tracking.
