Meta is reportedly developing a new pair of AI smart glasses in partnership with the Italian luxury brand Prada, according to CNBC. While details about the design or release date remain under wraps, this marks Meta’s latest push to blend wearable tech with high-end fashion.

Until now, Meta’s AI eyewear efforts have largely centered around its long-standing partnership with EssilorLuxottica, the company behind brands like Ray-Ban and Oakley. Although Prada isn’t owned by EssilorLuxottica, it has historically partnered with them to manufacture its eyewear. Their collaboration was recently renewed — suggesting a possible indirect link to Meta’s tech via shared manufacturing expertise.

Meta has already made waves with its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, selling millions of units. Earlier this week, the company also teased a collaboration with Oakley, another EssilorLuxottica brand. According to Bloomberg, these new Oakley smart glasses may launch soon, with a reported price point of around $360.

By adding Prada to its lineup of partners, Meta appears to be positioning its smart glasses not just as tech products, but as fashion-forward lifestyle accessories, aiming to appeal to a wider, style-conscious audience.
