Italian EdTech startup Wibo, based in Turin, has raised €500,000 to strengthen its position in the local market, expand training into AI topics, and enhance its proprietary platform for executive-led learning. The company specializes in upskilling teams through immersive, experience-based training led by top executives.
The investment round was supported by a distinguished group of business leaders who previously collaborated with Wibo as Executive Teachers. These include Simone Cimminelli, Andrea Incondi (Flix), Lorenzo Lagorio (easyJet), Elena Mirandola, Giacomo Trovato (Genertel), Duccio Vitali (Alkemy), Oscar Farinetti (Eataly), and Marco Fassone (former CEO of Milan, Napoli, Juventus).
Techstars and Talent Garden also participated in the round.
Wibo’s founders Tommaso Seita and Alessandro Busso explained: “Our vision is to help organizations thrive by combining human leadership with the conscious use of AI.” Their model blends live sessions, simulations, and practical tools with real-world case studies from global executives.
Founded in 2019, Wibo initially launched as a quiz app before pivoting in 2022 toward corporate upskilling. It now trains over 14,500 professionals from clients like Amazon, Huawei, Petronas, and Unicredit.
Each programme starts with a live keynote from executives at companies like Nike, Google, Spotify, and Uber. These are followed by:
According to the founders, “Corporate training is often seen as dull and ineffective. Trainers lack industry experience. We bring leaders who’ve lived business challenges to teach directly.”
They reference the Forgetting Curve (90% of knowledge lost in 1 week) and Gartner data (60% of HR leaders cite weak training paths) as indicators of the problem.
With a 50% team growth since 2024 and five new hires planned, Wibo will focus on product, tech, and customer success. It also announced the Wibo Humans+AI Mini-Academy, opening soon for early access pre-registrations.
